Activities are selected by our staff to meet the budget and needs of any touring group but these are always negotiable. Take a look below at some of the attractions, activities and events. We have broken them down into geographical areas.



Rotorua Rafting are the Kaituna River (Okere Falls) specialists. Offering the most spectacular white water rafting in Rotorua, North Island, New Zealand.

Rotorua Rafting is home to the largest commercially rafted waterfall in the world – 7m Tutea Falls.
With New Zealand Native scenery and Maori history lining the gorge of the beautiful Kaituna River, let Rotorua Rafting show you their backyard.


Charlie’s is a very minimalistic campsite with basic, rustic cabin accommodation in a beautiful setting of native New Zealand bush. Here you will collect rewood, cook over an open re, build emergency shelters and complete maintenance jobs around the campsite as well as learn a few other secrets about living off the land. The purpose of this exercise is to bring the group closer together through challenging members physically and emotionally. In order for this part of the tour to be successful and enjoyable students must learn to work for each other.


Te Puia spans 70 hectares within the historic Te Whakarewarewa Geothermal Valley, on the edge of Rotorua. This is home to the world famous Pōhutu geyser, mud pools, hot springs and silica formations. You will also nd the native Kiwi bird and the national schools of wood carving, weaving, stone and bone carving here. These taonga (treasures) have been shared with manuhiri (visitors) for over 170 years and that tradition continues today.


Luge and gondola mix beautiful vistas with exciting competition. Race your friends down the advanced track or take it more slowly on the scenic route. There’s something for everyone. The part go-cart, part toboggan is gravity fuelled with full rider control over speed and direction using a unique braking and steering system. Pull back on the handlebars to slow down or stop, release slightly to accelerate and enjoy the ride. The Luge is great for any age (our oldest rider is 101) and small children can ride with adults.


Enter the world of the Maori. Be enthralled by the natural bush setting, see warriors in traditional dress paddle an ancient warrior canoe (waka) down the Wai-o-whiro stream, and don’t miss your only opportunity in the Rotorua area to see glow worms in their natural habitat. See your traditionally cooked hangi meal being lifted from the ground.


We’ll take you into a native New Zealand forest that is so breathtakingly beautiful you’ll think we have transported you to another world. We will take you on a 3 hour guided tour through a magical place. The tour is a 1.2 kilometre network of 6 ziplines, swingbridges and treetop platforms. The highest platform is 22 metres high in the canopy of our ancient native forest.

Amusement site offering visitors the chance to roll down hill courses in clear plastic balls. OGO is safe, great value and a tonne of fun. They offer the most track choices with both wet and dry options.


Mountain Bike Rotorua is your gateway to Whakarewarewa, Redwood Forest, the stunning jewel in the crown of the adventure destination that is Rotorua. Thousands of kilometres of world class mountain bike trails wind through the Redwood Forest. A wonderful combination of a workout and an adrenaline rush.


The Redwoods Treewalk is a half-kilometre long walkway that consists of a series of 23 suspension bridges traversing the gaps between 22 majestic 100-year old Redwood trees. Attached to each tree are 22 living decks, offering visitors a unique, and birds-eye perspective of this world-renowned forest. The living decks were specifically designed for the Redwood’s unique ecosystem, ensuring that the viewing platforms would adapt to the Trees rapid growth without any harm.


Off Road NZ is located on a beautiful NZ native bush-clad property on the Mamaku Plateau, just 20 minutes north of Rotorua City. The rugged, formerly volcanic landscape offers diverse terrain for self-drive 4WD vehicles.



The Te Whanganui-A-Hei Marine Reserve opens up a sea kayaking paradise full of beaches, islands and rock gardens that are just waiting to be explored. Paddle through sea caves, interact with the local marine life and discover the thrill of kayak sailing with the wind on your back. Come and visit the home of blokart and have a blast on the land sailing machine, which has taken the world by storm. Super easy to use and great fun, these machines are awesome when the wind blows.

Blokart Recreation Park also has a new activity that is sure to impress. The all new electric Drift Karts are the latest attraction. These three wheeled machines are perfect for those of you looking for a bit of sideways fun!


The Blob, The UFO, rock climbing and unlimited kayak hire; the fun is just starting. Slide down NZ’s only kayak slide; beach volleyball is a hit while others enjoy the challenge on Waimarino’s low ropes course, battle the champ on our Gladiators pole; or simply let the palm trees shelter you as you soak up the warm pool while a BBQ cooks nearby.



Hukafalls Jet is the only jet boat company permitted to take you to the base of the mighty Huka Falls.

This half hour of thrills, fun and excitement takes you along a beautiful river environment, lined with native bush, sheer rock cliff face and hot water streams. Hold on tight as you’ll be travelling in one of our state of the art jet boats at an incredible 80km an hour! The door will open and your instructor will introduce you to the incredible feeling of freefalling at 200km/ h(125mph) from 12,000ft (3,650m) or 15,000ft (4,575m) above Lake Taupo, followed by a 5-minute parachute ride down to a safe and controlled landing.

Join a local Southern girl, who will take you on a breathtaking scenic drive around Lake Wakatipu to a privately owned sheep farm.

Laura will then demonstrate and show you how to crack stock whips, use a bow and arrow, target shoot with an air rifle and shoot clay targets with a shotgun.
